Get ready to Light It Up !

Australia, get ready to LIGHT IT UP with the announcement of a brand new, all ages Hip Hop event coming to arenas around the country this September!

Kicking off in September 2023, LIGHT IT UP’s inaugural year will see some of the biggest names in hip hop hitting the largest entertainment venues across Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Perth thanks to TEG MJR, Switch Events and CADA.

North Dakota Hip Hop juggernaut and hugely successful entrepreneur Wiz Khalifa, will headline the tour and will be Wiz’s first time in Australia since his 2015 sellout tour. Joining Wiz Khalifa on this national festival tour will be American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd and Billboard Hot 100 charting artist Lola Brooke, both fresh from huge sets of Coachella 2023. While Rae Sremmurd were last here for their standout performance at FOMO Festival in 2019, it will be a first time visit for Lola Brooke.
Rounding out this A-List American lineup will be Australian hip hop royalty with NSW’s very own pioneer of Australian drill, Hooligan Hefs and rising star YoungnLipz, as well as the DMC Champion DJ BeastMode.

Backed by the creative brains at TEG MJR - who already this year blessed us with Hip Hop legends Snoop Dogg, Ice Cub, and Cypress Hill, and along with partner Switch Events - LIGHT IT UP will mark the next major step for hip hop focused music events in Australia.
